Make passport and ID photos at home
Photo booths and print shops charge a surprising amount for a few small pictures. With this passport photo maker online you can take the photo with your webcam or phone (or upload one you already have), crop it to the exact size for your country, and download either a single digital photo or a 4×6 inch sheet ready to print at any photo kiosk.

How to take a good passport photo
- Stand about half a metre in front of a plain, light wall.
- Face a window or a soft light so there are no shadows on your face or behind you.
- Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression, mouth closed and eyes open.
- Remove glasses, hats and headphones unless your country allows them.
- Have someone else take the photo with the back camera of a phone if you can, as it will be sharper.
Printing
The print sheet is exactly 6 × 4 inches at 300 DPI. Print it at 100% / actual size, never “fit to page”, or the photos will come out the wrong size. Cut along the thin grey lines.
An important note
We give you the correct dimensions and head guides, but we can’t guarantee acceptance. Authorities check things a tool can’t: how recent the photo is, expression, lighting and background. Check the official rules for your passport, visa or ID card first.
